Maximize Efficiency with TG3212 50 Thixoflex Sealant: Precision Application for Sealing Tight Spaces

Sealants are the backbone of keeping aircraft aerodynamically sealed and watertight when necessary. Thixoflex is the solution you need to seal what needs to be sealed, when you need it sealed tight. It is made to work well with sealing panels, antennas, and windshields.

Greenwood Aerospace is proud to partner with Av-Dec to offer you the best prices and bulk purchases, keeping you in the fight.

Av-DEC Sealant Solutions

Av-DEC Thixoflex Black is a high-performance, injectable polyurea sealant widely used across all facets of aviation and aerospace. It is a two-part sealant pack used to seal panels, antennas, windshields, and other surfaces.

It is a reliable barrier against water seepage, wind resistance, and overall, creating an aerodynamic seal on parts that require gaps to be eliminated or at least covered for aerofairing purposes.

Thixoflex was formulated to cure quickly on vertical surfaces where seam sealing installation is necessary, and an injectable sealant is the way to go. Remember, corrosion and water seepage are the mortal enemies of the aircraft, especially electronic components, so using the right sealant is important.

Key Benefits and Features

So, what separates Thixoflex Black from the pack is its highly viscous formula that allows for easy application and fast sealing. Thixoflex cures faster than most injectable alternatives across a wide range of temperatures, providing real-time waterproofing to prevent corrosion.

Thixoflex has a robust shelf life of 12 months when stored above 55°F (13°C). It remains reliable under various environmental conditions, ranging from -85°F to 185°F (-65°C to 85°C).

The Thixoflex Black two-component polyurea-based formula is built to be durable. It adheres with excellent strength to vertical surfaces and forms a seal that resists abrasion. These characteristics make it suitable for the most demanding applications in aviation. The thixotropic design prevents drips and runs during application, resulting in a neat and professional finish. This is particularly important on windshields and windscreens with vertical runs, as well as on panels on the underside of the aircraft.

Compatibility with Sensitive Equipment

TG 3212-50 sealant is engineered for compatibility with sensitive electronic components and various substrates across the aircraft. Again, it is a preferred option for sealing aircraft windshields, windows and windscreens, panels (including those on the underside of the aircraft), and antennas.

It is formulated to prevent interference with electronic equipment on the aircraft, providing a safe sealing solution with some of the quickest sealing times on the market. It is also easily applied without requiring special equipment, which allows your team to get aircraft back in the air in record time.

Maintenance and Repair

Thixoflex is very low maintenance and will only require maintenance when it needs to be replaced (usually from the panel or the window being removed for inspection or replacement). Otherwise, sealant has a very long service life when it is adequately mixed and applied correctly with good contact to the substrates.

Procurement from Greenwood Aerospace

Greenwood Aerospace is pleased to offer Av-DEC Thixoflex Black, a two-part polyurea sealant, in the standard 50cc container, suitable for most standard panels and windows on an aircraft.
